Easter Holidays are here! This is a fantastic time to get out with the family and explore Melbourne! We have found some fun events and places that are family friendly that will make your holidays enjoyable while also keeping the kids busy:
1. Fed Kidz – 9th to 24th April 10am to 6pm
These April holidays Federation Square has free events with a full program of activity workshops for the kids! The activities range from craft, gaming, robotics, food festival, Family films on the big screen and live shows with PJ Masks and Dora the Explorer! 2. Museum of the Moon – till April 15th
To celebrate the premier of Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight, Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon is a touring artwork measuring seven metres in diameter featuring detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface and surround sound composition. This artwork is displayed in The Atrium at Federation Square.
3. Melbourne Museum – Book online
The Melbourne Museum has plenty to explore with the family. Meet Horridus the Triceratops at Fate of the Dinosaurs. Horridus is a 67-million-year-old triceratops and is the world’s most complete triceratops fossil clocking in at 85% complete and a whopping 1,000 kilograms! Book your tickets online to be amazed!
4. Easter at Queen Victoria Market – 12th-21st April 10am-1pm
The Queen Victoria Market has it all for Easter! Bring the kids to meet the Easter bunny, with visits on Easter Saturday and Sunday for eggs and photos, plus explore the Market with the all-new kids passport or take part in free school holiday activities.
Tue 12 Apr: Easter Egg Art Get creative and design a fun and colourful Easter egg.
Thu 14 Apr: Easter Bunny Ears Create a set of fun Easter bunny ears, perfect to wear for the big Easter morning egg hunt.
Tue 19 Apr: Eco Bag Art Decorate your very own eco-friendly tote bag – perfect to bring along when exploring the Market with family and friends.
Thu 21 Apr: Pom Pom Pet Craft Create a fluffy pom pom pet, complete with goggly eyes, ears and nose.
There'll also be free face painting for kids both young and old, throughout the holidays.
